ABOUT
Moonsign is a queer electro-pop duo from Sydney, formed by Carlin Dally and Bastian Fox Phelan. Their songs revolve around radical interpersonal concepts framed by sweet synths and cute haircuts.
In 2014, Moonsign released an EP, 'Is It Already Happening?' and a full-length album, 'Start Anywhere'. Moonsign were recognised as one of 'Thirty Independent Australian Acts to look out for in 2014' on independentmusicnews.co.uk. Moonsign embarked on a DIY tour of Europe in June 2014, taking their floaty dream-pop to the distant shores of Helsinki, Copenhagen and Reykjavik. Moonsign eventually dropped anchor in Berlin where they bunkered down for the winter, writing and recording new music. Moonsign returned to Australia in 2015 for a music residency with Brand X and secured funding from Marrickville council to release a new 5 track EP in February 2016.
Moonsign is currently on high rotation on triple j unearthed digital radio and have been played on triple j's main station as well as Sydney's FBi. Past members include Tara Jayne, Tino Spaghetti & co-founder Di Drew.
Moonsign's track 'Wintersend' appears on ANTI-YOUTH.
